Each year in June, Soroptimist International of Redding is host to our annual Pioneer Luncheon at the Anderson Fairgrounds. Our Pioneer Luncheon pays tribute to the pioneers of Shasta County. Those who are invited to attend must be at least 65 years of age and must have lived in Shasta County for at least 50 years. Each year we host over 400 Shasta County pioneers. With the help of other volunteers from musicians to 4-Hers, we serve up a hot lunch, entertainment, prizes and more. We decorate the tables with hand made centerpieces with the year's theme in mind. We greet each pioneer as they check in and seat them together with old friends and new ones. There is live local entertainment and lots of fun for all. Soroptimist International of Redding takes pride in honoring our Shasta County pioneers!
