What is "Soroptimist":

We are a worldwide organization for women in management and professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women.
"Soroptimist International seeks to recognize the needs of people throughout the world; to initiate awareness, advocacy and action to improve the quality of life; to advance international understanding, goodwill, and peace; and to serve voluntarily using the diverse skills of its members in individual, group and cooperative endeavors."

We raise money for scholarships to help in the betterment of women and girls. Locally we fund hundreds of mammograms for women who cannot otherwise afford them. Our service projects help support the library, Cascade Theater refurbishment, Riverfront Playhouse, Girls, Inc., Wings of Angels, and many more.
